Author Guidelines
Submission of Manuscripts
Manuscripts should be submitted in softcopy (MS Word) format through OJS (Open Journal System) using the link http://ejournal.stiejb.ac.id/index.php/abdidaya. The manuscript format should adhere to the following Writing Guidelines:
Writing Guidelines
The manuscript should be typed with single spacing, a minimum of 10 pages, and a maximum of 22 pages (including abstract and bibliography) on A4-sized paper with 2.54 cm margins on all sides. The font used should be Book Antiqua, with a font size of 12 pts for the main text and 10 pts for illustrations (tables, graphs, images, etc.). For editing purposes, the entire manuscript (including tables, images, and formulas) should be submitted in an editable format (MS Word) with a maximum file size of 5 MB.
General Writing Style
The manuscripts for ABDI DAYA: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat are in the form of a summary of community engagement activities. The manuscript can be written in Indonesian with an essay format, accompanied by sub-headings in each section.
Manuscript Structure
The structure of the manuscript for community engagement activities consists of: title, author's name (without titles), complete affiliation of the authors, correspondence address, abstract, and keywords. The main sections consist of: Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations, and Bibliography. Below are guidelines for each section of the manuscript and other important aspects to consider in writing the manuscript.
Title
The title should not exceed 14 words and should be written in Indonesian, reflecting the content of the main section.
Author Information
Includes the author's full name (without titles and abbreviations), the affiliation of the authors' institution, complete address (including postal code), and the author's correspondence address (e-mail).
Abstract
Written in English, with a word count of 150-200 words (also include an abstract in Indonesian). It should consist of only one paragraph and provide a brief description of the motivation for conducting community engagement activities, the objectives of the activities, the methods used (activity forms and stages), results, and impact/benefits.
Keywords
Written in English, with 3-5 phrases. Keywords consist of words or phrases commonly used in the manuscript and are considered representative and/or related to the topic being discussed. Keywords should be arranged alphabetically.
Introduction
The introduction should provide an overview of the substance of the article in line with its topic and objectives, especially the reasons that underlie the community engagement activities. It should present thoughts, ideas, opinions, and findings from previous activities (preferably sourced from journals) that are useful for comparison and to strengthen, enrich, and refine the current activities. The presentation should be chronologically coherent, and logical connections between the first and subsequent paragraphs should be clear.
Method
The method should provide adequate theoretical and technical information to allow readers to replicate the activities effectively. It is particularly important to describe the activity design, data and/or tools used, as well as the methods and stages of the activities.
Results
The results should be presented systematically. The narrative should include information tailored to the objectives of the activities. Clarify the narrative with illustrations (tables, images, etc.). Illustrations should be referred to in the text or described.
Discussion
The discussion should provide interpretations of the results. The order of the discussion should align with the sequence of activities. The discussion should involve developing arguments by linking ideas, opinions, theories, and the results of community engagement activities with relevant input from other parties. It is also important to present the impacts and benefits and the potential contribution to the development of community engagement activities and innovation.
Conclusion and Recommendations
The conclusion should provide a comprehensive and concise interpretation of the results and discussion in one flowing paragraph (without bullet points and numbering). The recommendations should be directed towards the objects/places of community engagement activities, policymakers, and future community engagement initiatives. Recommendations should be written in a flowing paragraph (without bullet points and numbering).
Bibliography
The references should primarily cover the last 10 years. The bibliography should consist of 80% primary sources from national and international journals. The higher the quality of primary references, the higher the quality of the article, provided that self-citation is avoided as it may reduce the assessment. Authors are encouraged to include references from previously published articles in ABDI DAYA: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat. The bibliography should only include the references cited in the article and should be arranged alphabetically. Authors must use citation tools such as Zotero, Endnote, or Mendeley with the latest APA referencing style to ensure that the citations and bibliography are in accordance with the writing style in ABDI DAYA: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat.
Reference arrange by following the procedures of the following example and sorted alphabetically and chronologically.

Additional Instructions (Graphs, Tables and Photos)
All graphs, tables and photographs you enter in the document must be adjusted to the order of 1 column or full size of a paper without dots (.), Without bold print, and must be accompanied by a sentence referring to the image/table, to make it easier for reviewers to look at the meaning of the image. Graphs can follow the format for diagrams like Figure 1. The tables are presented in the format shown in Table 2. The images are presented in the format shown in Figure 3.
